BubbleGang reaction

After their discussion about the gender issues on bubblegang and how the present in their i learned that genders really is a part of our world and on TV shows as well. This is a good example of it. Most of their jokes is based on sex and green jokes which can also be based on one's appearance and gender status. This cause a lot of repetitiveness and may end up boring, and most of the punchlines are the person themselves not the lines that they have in the show. The main character or the person involved with usually is different in appearance and gender status which is is being made by jokes from other actors who are more beautiful or handsome and normal. Their jokes are biased and often directs to men and obviously try to get more viewers from the ladies and theme that they create. Similar to the "Man Show" on Jack TV.

Films Maximus/Eating out

Reaction paper to Maximus oliveros and Eating out

We watch two films that contains Gay love and relationship that is rare to find in movies. These two movie are the same, but the first one is more casual and less revealing than the other. The blossoming of Maximos Oliveros was a film about the kid name Maximos who was gay, and it portrays about his life as a gay and how he fitted with the family. His role was more like a motherly role to his family as he washes dishes, cleans the house and almost does everything a mother does for the family and its because their mother has been owned. His family of course accepted him as the youngest sister in the family and treats him in a ladylike perspective. This show how gay people are placed in society. He also had a crush on a man which was a policeman, well from the start they became friend and as the story progresses he eventually learned a lot of things. Gay portrayed here to have a different kind of likes and preferences in comparison to male archetypes, but also ironically it is placed to our minds that gay people should and always like the same sex.

The next film is Eating out. It is about a young guy ( i forgot the name) He and his gay friend are in a crusade to find their ultimate love. The main guy disguised himself as gay to get close to the girl that he like, but the problem is he was forced to date another guy which was gay. As the story progresses he didn't fit in well with the gay guy and found himself in awkward situation most of the time. This shows how gay people are placed in society, obviously very embarrassed and people react to them differently, but the movie showed a lot of gay love and romance fitting to gay standards. One party of the story showed how they were hiding their new disguised gay relationship to their parents, and got everything screwed, but their parents accepted it quite nicely. This example support the existence of gay relationship and In the end it was a happy ending with good gay romances

Archetypes

Female Archtypes

Our discussion was about male and female archetypes such as male female and their other counter parts such as gay and lesbian. we previously talked about things such as gender, sex and preferences and this is very much important prerequisite in understanding the topic of archetypes. These archetypes male, female, and the other two are very much part of our society and most of the time gay and lesbian are viewed entirely different from the original. these archetypes have been view and funny or somewhat different and is being discriminate apart from the original. Especially stated on the lesbos which have double risk or disadvantage in their situation. While on gays now have their own rights and place in society even though currently they're been ridiculed.

my comments of X

I just realize the complexity of one's gender and sex. Both are so complex in the society that it creates norms and rules for both sides in how things are done. It also complex on how the parent bring up their children according to their sex and gender. Parents are to do this and that etc..... to their children, but its not most of the time an obligation for them and some times they force characters unnecessary to their children. In the very special fictional case of the reading "X" the child had both sex at the same time and the X's parent had a hard task of bringing up the child and was supported by a group of scientists, but in real life , things like that are impossible or rather close to being ideal. Combine the two elements of male and female is too hard for the parents. And for the child since it will be revealed later at adolescence the real sex of the child , the child may have a misfit for the gender the child has. The problem here is which will decide the gender of the child at birth if it is the doctor or the parents themselves, but i think no one must decide but the child.
